Studio Policies
At Stardust, we uphold a set of policies to ensure a smooth and respectful learning environment for all students. Here's an overview of our policies regarding tuition payments, attendance, punctuality, cancellations & makeup lessons, and summer schedule:
-
Monthly payments are collected on the 1st of each month via MyMusicStaff, our student portal. Tuition is a flat rate for weekly and bi-weekly lessons.
Please note, Stripe, our payment processor imposes a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments.
There are no transaction fees for ACH transfers.
Additional Family Member Discounts: A reduced monthly tuition rate is available for each additional family member who enrolls together!
Referral Discounts: Enjoy 10% off in your monthly fees for the first 3 months when your referred friends enroll!
Trial Lessons: These sessions are an excellent opportunity for us to get acquainted and for me to learn about your musical goals. Click to book here!
After your trial lesson, I'll contact you with information about your monthly tuition fee and help you get set up with our student portal!

Scheduled lesson time represents the allocated duration for instruction and collaboration.
Respecting Others' Time: Punctuality is not only a sign of commitment but also a demonstration of respect for the teacher’s time and the learning environment.
Grace Period: A grace period of 5 minutes can be granted to accommodate unforeseen delays. However, due to the back-to-back nature of scheduling lessons, this may not always be possible.
No Automatic Extensions or Makeups: Students arriving beyond the grace period will not automatically receive an extension for the lesson due to the back-to-back scheduling. Additionally, makeup sessions for missed time will not be granted. It is imperative to prioritize punctuality as you are accountable for managing your own time.
Preparation: All students’ are expected to have all appropriate materials required by the teacher.
-
Makeup credits (used to schedule makeup lessons) are available only for lessons canceled by either the teacher or the student.
Makeup lessons are not provided during studio closures for breaks or holidays. Lessons can only be scheduled during designated open hours to maintain an organized schedule for all students.
Student Cancellations (Regular or Makeup Lessons)
Cancellations made with 24 or more hours of notice are eligible for a makeup lesson credit.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be eligible for a makeup lesson.
Makeup lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be considered used.
Teacher Cancellations
Any lesson canceled by the teacher will automatically qualify for a makeup credit.
Switching to Online Lessons
With prior communication, students may switch an in-person lesson to online on the same day, as long as both the student and instructor have confirmed the change.
No-Shows
If a student arrives 15 or more minutes late to a lesson, it will be considered a no-show and will not qualify for a refund or makeup credit.
Makeup Credit Expiration & Limit
All makeup lesson credits expire 1 year from the date they were issued.
To ensure all students have a fair opportunity to use their credits within that timeframe, there is a limit of four (4) active makeup credits per student.
This equals about one month of missed lessons for weekly students or two months for bi-weekly students.
If you anticipate missing additional lessons after reaching this limit, please contact the studio to discuss scheduling options.
(This policy goes into effect January 1, 2026.)
Pausing or Discontinuing Lessons
If you wish to pause or discontinue lessons, please use the contact form below and submit your required 30-day notice.

At Stardust Vocal Studio, the health and well-being of our students, families, and staff are paramount. To maintain a safe and productive learning environment, we kindly ask all students to adhere to the following guidelines regarding illness:
When to Stay Home
Please refrain from attending in-person or virtual lessons if you or your child exhibit any of the following symptoms:
Fever: Temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. Students should be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications before returning to lessons.
Contagious Illnesses: Such as strep throat, conjunctivitis (pink eye), or any other communicable conditions. Students should have been on appropriate medication for at least 24 hours before resuming lessons.
Gastrointestinal Symptoms: Including vomiting or diarrhea. Students should be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning.
Respiratory Symptoms: Persistent coughing, sore throat, or difficulty breathing.
Rashes: Especially if the cause is unknown or accompanied by other symptoms.
General Malaise: If the student feels unwell or is unable to participate fully in the lesson.
Note: If a student arrives at the studio exhibiting any of the above symptoms, the lesson may be rescheduled at the instructor's discretion to ensure the safety of all.
Virtual Lessons
If you're feeling under the weather but still up for a lesson, we encourage you to opt for a virtual session. Virtual lessons can be arranged on short notice and provide continuity in your musical education without compromising health. Please notify the studio as early as possible to switch to a virtual format.
Makeup Lessons
Eligibility: Lessons canceled due to illness with at least 24 hours' notice are eligible for a makeup session.
Short Notice Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time may not be eligible for a makeup lesson, except in cases of sudden illness or emergencies, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Scheduling: Makeup lessons should be scheduled within the same calendar year, subject to availability.
Communication
Prompt communication is essential. If you or your child are ill, please inform the studio as soon as possible. This allows us to adjust schedules accordingly and maintain a healthy environment for all.
