Stardust Vocal Studio was founded to create an enriching, positive, and creative space where students of all ages and backgrounds can discover their artistic voice, build confidence, and receive well-rounded musical training. Rooted in thoughtful, individualized instruction, Stardust blends technical foundation with creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Students at Stardust receive comprehensive instruction in healthy vocal technique, music theory, songwriting, and stage presence through customized lesson plans tailored to each individual’s goals. Beyond weekly lessons, the studio emphasizes real-world musicianship by offering collaborative recital experiences and educational opportunities that encourage students to grow as confident, versatile performers.

Now entering its second year, Stardust Vocal Studio has grown fivefold, serving students across multiple states and hosting its first successful online vocal recital. The studio continues to expand its offerings with plans for additional recitals, workshops, and group learning opportunities in the year ahead.

Meet Your Teacher

Akshara Sundararajan is an accomplished vocalist, composer, and music educator whose work bridges Jazz, R&B, and Indian Carnatic traditions. Her artistry is shaped by a deep commitment to musical storytelling, technical integrity, and expressive freedom, informed by over a decade of performance and teaching experience.

As a performer, Akshara has appeared on stages across the Greater Boston Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Phoenix, Arizona. She has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists including Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, collaborated with the acclaimed vocal ensemble The Real Group, and performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall. She has also performed with San Jose’s 7th Street Big Band and wrote “Downpour” , her original composition arranged by Nichole Boaz for the band’s sophomore album, Post Hang.

Equally dedicated to education, Akshara serves as a teaching artist at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music and is the founder of Stardust Vocal Studio. Her teaching approach emphasizes holistic musicianship, healthy technique, and creative collaboration, guiding students through personalized, goal-driven learning that fosters confidence, artistry, and lifelong engagement with music.
